For instance, Emeron Hernandez-Mayers shared an ecstatic first-time experience, commending the professionalism and kindness of the maids, remarking, “This was my first time at a maid cafe. It was AWESOME!!!”

Sebastian Polak echoed similar sentiments, expressing his joy in the engaging interaction even as a non-Japanese speaker: “Maids are very chatty and try their best to talk with non-Japanese customers.” This emphasis on creating a welcoming atmosphere is woven throughout the fabric of the Maid Cafe's service philosophy.

Despite some minor critiques regarding the dessert options, as noted by Thijs Rutten, the overall experience, heightened by the whimsical shows performed by the maids, ensures that every visitor leaves with delightful memories and possibly a special Polaroid to cherish forever.

This was my first time at a maid-cafe. It was AWESOME!!! A reservation is preferred but not required. The staff were very professional, kind and well dressed! (Including people who are not maids). The food was delicious and fulfilling! I was a little confused about the designs, so I opted for a nice heart design on my meal + coffee! While I was eating, a maid accidentally spilled a customers chocolate drink on her. Not only was she sincere in acknowledging her mistake, but the other maids were VERY quick to help their co-worker + customer clean the mess. This showed me that they are genuinely kind people working here. Plus, it seems like the maids enjoy working with each other. As a native English speaker who knows some Japanese, I felt like I didn't need to rely on English or use a translator during my time at the restaurant. HOWEVER, each maid who served me an item had good -> great English/ communication skills! Plus, there are English menus, hahaha. The Polaroid photo is a very nice memento. Highly recommend people get that VERY FOREIGNER FRIENDLY!!!

Its always a pleasure to visit this place. I am trying to do that on my b-day to get special service but normal one is good too! Maids are very chatty and tries Their best to talk with non-japanese customers altho the english is very lacking. Dishes are ok - hot, well prepared and decorated. A lot of merch to buy. I strongly recommend "coming home" for the experience.

We booked in advance, and had a priority seating but this was definitely not needed as there are literally 2 of the at home cafes next to each other. The dessert menu is a little lacking for what you pay for it, but the food menu with omi rice was nice The experience was great and our maid(s) spoke pretty good English and we had a great time interacting with them and enjoyed the show we got. It was a very fun experience but definitely cheaper to just show up and go in. They said they were extremely busy all day, but they were 70% empty for the enitre hour we sat there. We also were sent away about 5 minutes before our time was up. All in all we really enjoyed our experience at the cafe.

Quintessential experience for any foreigner in Japan. In my opinion, is the most professional chain of all the maid cafes in Akihabara, but you can’t go wrong at any! Only critique is that what is the point of paying 1000 yen for a reservation if you still need to wait 30 minutes in line behind everyone else without a reservation?

Went here yesterday. There was some confusion when our head maid said her name was Oprah. It was actually Opera which she demonstrated for some other customers with some beautiful arias. It was my first time at a maid cafe and we had a baby and child with us which they graciously accommodated. They knew of all the characters we asked for and were great artists. Knowing just the very basic polite Japanese phrases and their excellent English skills we were able to get by perfectly. A couple of details... maps says they open at 11 but they take reservations starting from 10am. I believe this is because they have another building right next door with like 5 dedicated floors that does not take reservations. Maps routed us to the back of the building but we found the elevator on the front of the building. Thankfully they have a 30 minute window on your reservation.

We have been to at-home a total of 4 times (three times on our most recent trip, visiting ourselves and bringing friends along), and it's always an absolute joy! Although initially it can seem embarrassing, the maids always do an amazing job at making you feel comfortable, and soon enough you'll find yourself doing chants to make the food extra delicious alongside the maids without a second thought. The food is always simple, but very tasty, and the drinks haven't disappointed us yet to date. Our maid, Yuiri-san, did an incredible job with both the adorable artwork on our food/drinks, but also with conversing! Our Japanese is by no means good, but she was so eager to speak with us and find out about our days that we managed to find a way to communicate in both English and Japanese. It was super memorable, and she was so cute! (Thank you again for the anime recommendations, Yuiri-san! ) If you want to go to your first ever maid cafe, I cannot recommend at-home enough. Will definitely be back to finally upgrade my "princess card" to silver rank next time I'm in Japan!
